"The Wizard of Oz" is coming soon to Nintendo DS, complete with your favorite Ozites and their little dog, too.

A cute, anime version of the movie, though a review on Gamespot.com says not to expect a faithful retelling of the story.  This new RPG game is simple, yellow-brick linear and filled with cute creatures, even if they're supposed to be the bad guys who sap you of courage and life points.  The music is also very Nintendo, engaging and light-hearted, like Animal Crossing.

Sneak previews and comments online point towards another Nintendo bestseller.  The Wizard of Oz is set to be instores from September 22.
