Nintendo
Recently, the gaming world has been talking about the Nintendo DSi.
Just last month, the latest portable game system was launched with some new features such as an installed digital camera, photo editing and distortion capabilities, Internet browsing and more. The DSi has taken the nation by storm with its cutting edge and iPhone like features. But does it meet the criteria to compete in the multimedia handheld big league?
The Nintendo DSi promises a better gaming experience by providing gamers the opportunity to download games and software right from their handheld onto an SD card. For parents who want to control what their children download, there is also the parental controls feature. This requires parents to input a four-digit code to allow access to certain sites.
In addition, the DSi also has brighter and larger screens as well as enhanced sound.
While the Nintendo DSi has amazing features and uses, so does your computer. That USB drive on your laptop or desktop is no longer just for flash drives. There were some interesting flash drives out there, such as the ones we found on Toxel: one resembled an audio cassette tape, another doubles as a bottle opener and a colorful lego collection.
But what if you already have your fair share of funky flash drives? Here are what some companies have come up with to make more use of that USB outlet on your computer.
One USB invention we thought deserved some attention was the Aromatherapy Oil Burner. Office workaholics might need a little aromatherapy to soothe the 12-hour daily grind or college students could use it to get rid of the stench of week old pizza in their dorm rooms.
Another one that lit our light bulb, was the Mr. Brightside USB Light. This gives just a little more light for those late night cram sessions or when your eyes get beady after 10 hours of World of Warcraft.
One more USB gadget we liked is the USB refrigerator. Room temperature drinks are horrible when you’re working long hours, why not use this mini fridge to keep that energy drink ice cold? The only downside to this invention is that it only stores one drink.
