Sharp will ship its X-series LCD HDTVs “wireless ready”. They also happen to be the world’s thinnest, by the way. So, available at 37-, 42-, and 47-inches but only three inches deep, these displays promise not only to clear up more space in your media cabinet but finally dispel the problem that has plagued home theatre since the beginning. Namely wires! WHDI (Wireless High-definition Interface) capability comes via an optional wireless video transmitter from AMIMON. However, at $2,999 for the base model without wireless, minimalism won’t come cheap. Of course, is a 47-inch TV really minimalist?
