Streetline, Inc
According to Streeline.com, they are launching a new pilot program in New York City to test new Smart Parking technology that is being deployed by the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT).
The program puts sensors within the pavement that will recognize when parking spaces are available and drivers are able to see them in real-time by using Streetline’s mobile app, Parker.
With this new program, you will be able to keep track of the time left on your meter and, when you have a senior moment, provide you with walking directions back to you car.
“We are excited to partner with New York City DOT to test this innovative service for locals and visitors to NYC,” said Zia Yusuf, CEO of Streetline. “We applaud New York City for exploring and implementing Smart Parking solutions that can not only transform how people park, but also address the critical need to reduce traffic and pollution.”
Streetline is gearing up to provide real-time status updates on traffic patterns, pollution, parking, water, power and light to support the population increase over time.
This is an amazing use of technology & mobile application to provide relief to the stress of parking in cities world-wide.
Imagine this technology coming to your city soon. I know I can’t wait!!
