This weekend I took full advantage of my recent NetFlix account and hunted around for something to watch while I played World of Warcraft. I had just acquired the fishing profession in WoW and figured that I could watch something entertaining while fishing. My first choice was a made for TV scif-fi movie called RiverWorld.

I've read about RiverWorld, although I've never actually read the series. The movie was interesting enough and it was 2-parter. I only finished part one. While playing WoW and watching RiverWorld, I decided to catch True Grit, since I'm a fan of Westerns. I saw Have Gun Will Travel and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and got sucked into watching around 4-5 episodes before I had to get ready to head out to the movies. Have Gun Will Travel's hero is hired gunslinger named Paladin, who has the habit of dressing in all black while on an assignment.

I caught the second to last showing of True Grit and enjoyed the movie, although it could've had a bit more gunfights, but from what I read on the Internet, it stayed pretty true to the novel it was based on. A fairly good movie, but it didn't strike me as a typical Coen brother's movie, since it seemed much more traditional. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, LOL.
