Bio

Monica S. Flores, principal at 10K Webdesign and author of three books on web design and green business development, is passionate about educating, empowering, and connecting women, particularly those using business as a vehicle for personal and professional growth.

Flores has been an active web developer since 1999, starting with hand-coded HTML sites and moving into custom content management systems, Wordpress and Joomla, and Drupal custom installation and development. Her focus as a web developer is in creating websites that build community and foster a feeling of connectedness. Her company supports women entrepreneurs and fair trade, organic, holistic, sustainable, and green businesses. Typical clients include public agencies, national, state and local nonprofits, membership organizations, and e-commerce vendors.

Past speaking engagements include seminars and workshops with: Podcamp and Wordcamp Hawaii, Hawaii Women's Business Center, Young Women Social Entrepreneurs, The Filipina Women's Network, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, and Asian Pacific Americans for Progress.
