Becoming a "Green" Computing School or Business

As the department of education went through the process of decentralization of funds and decison making, it also created an unintended decentralization of information technology. The bottom line is that most schools, public or private, often don't know what they own and often keep old technology in place longer than they should. With the high cost of electricity today, it is often more cost effective to dispose of older hardware, replace it with newer hardware that is more energy efficient/overall more cost effective. With the work we have done at Campbell HS, they will save over 7000 per year on electric costs alone. They put in 184 stations and the cost was half what it would have cost for a traditional system.
