Oceanit has developed a technology for the military to tag locations on a map to locate danger and areas of concern, for examples potential IEDs, snipers and terrorist locations. Oceanit is looking to take this technology to the commercial market, using it to locate and help manage our local community infrastructure, for example, potholes, sidewalks, graffiti and other maintenance and nuisance areas of concern.
For example, these areas of infrastructure issues can be tagged and managed from initial identification, location, repair completion, and reporting for community improvement. This would all be done with a mobile application on a handheld device. This technology could be applied to other issues as well, community policing and emergency services.
