Hoana Medical, Inc., based in Honolulu, is the nation’s leading provider of medical vigilance systems. Hoana Medical’s LifeBed™ Patient Vigilance System is the only FDA-cleared device that measures heart rate, respiratory rate and bed exit without any connection to the patient. The LifeBed™ system is at the forefront of the patient safety movement by providing hospitals with a tool for early recognition of deterioration in a patient's condition. Currently, the industry standard for the general care floor is to have a nurse conduct their "rounds" every 4 to 6 hours. The LifeBed is helping advance the standard of healthcare by providing real-time, 24-hour vital sign vigilance - so patients get immediate attention if they need it.
